if you don't mind me putting my dirty paws on tyour beautiful blog... Great poem, Mike. And why do you call this "Hope", I have always thought that the new Jerusalem is about now. Otherwise. we throw stones, bullets or prayers at each other.

Hi Pierre,
Thank you very much for your comments! Yes, I agree with your definition of New Jerusalem. I admire the Quaker view that the Sermon on the Mount applies to NOW, because THIS VERY MOMENT is as good as it is going to get.
Insofar as the poem, I wrote it from the standpoint of the millions whose idealism borne of persecution led them to these shores.

Hi Michael,

Thank you. I would be a f..... up Buddhist monk, I'd be a Quaker. No doubt. I love simplicity and silence.

Have you ever thought of turning this blog into a kind of book ( my good end-gaining habit comes back)?

Be nice to meet at one point, why not Japan?

Love

Hi Pierre,

For me, the creative outlet this blog provides is its own reward.
Yes, I'd love to meet up in Japan! I still have a chunk of the Shikoku 88-temple pilgrimage I need to finish, something I'd like to do next year. It would be a great idea to meet then!

This is just what I needed today. Today one of my hotel owners, whom I really liked passed away from a heart attack....
Thank you :)

I'm sorry to hear that, LB. I hope this person left you many fond memories to celebrate.
