michael- I am still here, reading learning... You bet I'll keep in touch especially with you, friend.

Love the pics! REminds me again of the Forrest Gump quote.

Look for pictures of bicycle rides thru the countryside soon on my blog- inspired by tales of your 12-mile walks.

Thanks for everything michael!

Hi Chris,
Thank you! I hope your continuing adventures provide lots of grist for your blogging mill. I look forward to reading about your bicycle rides. And thank YOU, my friend.

Hi LB,
Actually a friend and fellow blogger gave me the idea for this post. My walking shoes mean a lot to me.

Ohayou gozaimasu, Miki-san,
Itsumo arigatou gozaimashita!

Your walking shoes mean a lot to all your readers, too. They lead us to all kinds of places we might not otherwise see.

Thanks, Patry! They're old, beat-up and smelly (and they've since been replaced by a newer pair), but they've taken me places.

Great pics -- I agree that they say a lot.

Also, the pics teach me something about me, because they are so different from what I expected.

I expected a picture of a pair of boots, and not one taken from above.

And I didn't expect one foot to be in front of the other!
